Magic Spells - how to improve Premier in CS2 in 3 steps
We all love Counter-Strike 2 - it is undoubtedly the best shooter game in the history of esports. That said, the game still has a lot of room for improvement, especially in its current state. Recent weapon changes, adding maps to the pool, or corrections to older maps make it feel fresh. As we mentioned, there is room to use your imagination and think about what can be changed. This is what we will focus on - what can be added or removed to make the game better for each of you!
1. Correction of the ranking after playing with cheaters
Valve is constantly working on its Anti-Cheat system, and the situation seems to be gradually improving. Despite this, players are still not fully aware of how the presence of cheaters affects their ranking.
Rainbow Six Siege has a system that adjusts a player's ranking if there is a cheater in their match. The change can be both positive and negative, but the most important thing is that players know how many cheaters were in their match and how it affected their ranking. A similar system in CS2 would allow honest players to avoid the frustration of losses caused by cheaters.
There is already such an option on the Faceit platform, and although catching cheaters is not much easier, it happens more often. The player receives specific information that a given user has been blocked in accordance with our notification. This is also followed by the awarding or deduction of ELO points.
2. The ability to ask for a weapon
Now let's look at Valorant, one of CS2's main competitors. We like to joke about this game and its mistakes, but we must admit that one element is really well solved - the purchasing system.
In Valorant, you can cancel a weapon purchase during the buying phase and also request a drop with one click. Think about how many times you have been in a situation where you thought it was logical that someone would throw a gun at you and notice that you had no money. Why bother and count on your colleagues' quick thinking when you can speed it up with a voice message or in-game notification.
This would be a great help. These are minor changes that would significantly improve the comfort of the game, because you would never play with Deagle again when the rest are rushing B with AK-47!
3. Separate ranking for solo and premade
It's Tuesday, 8:30 p.m. You come home, you eat your favorite chips. You think about playing CS. All your friends are offline, so you decide to play Premier solo. You get two duos of players from a given nation. On the other team? Full of 5 friends who have a very easy task - to shoot decently and not quarrel with each other.
In our opinion, the selection of players should be done zero-to-one. Enough people still play Counter Strike 2 that this could be changed. 5 well-coordinated friends against 5 well-coordinated opponents. Sounds perfect, right?
Will Valve implement these changes?
Valve is constantly developing CS2 - although updates do not appear as often as we would like, the game is heading in the right direction. Who knows, maybe we'll see these features as an integral part of Counter-Strike 2 in the future?
